One of the most misquoted Bible verses Part-2 - Rev 4:1 ,2 Thess 2:7 and 1 Thess 5:9
1. Revelation 4:1
After these things I saw, and behold, a door opened in heaven, and the first voice that I heard, [a voice] as of a trumpet speaking with me, one saying, Come up hither, and I will show thee the things which must come to pass hereafter.
According to Pre Tribulation Rapture believers, John is symbolic of Church in Rev 4:1 who will be raptured before Tribulation.
Moreover, Church is mentioned 19 times in first 3 chapters and there is no mention of Church in Rev 4-22.
But I want to tell you , John was translated in the Spirit to heaven ( Rev 4:2).
Revelation 4:2
Straightway I was in the Spirit: and behold, there was a throne set in heaven, and one sitting upon the throne;
' Church' is translated from Greek word ' ekklesia' which means ' gathering of saints'.
Saints are mentioned in Rev 4-22.
Saints is translated from Greek word ' hagios' which means set apart for God, pure and sinless.
Saints are morally blameless, upright and pure. They are the True Bride of Christ. Saints keep commandments of God in persecution times . Saints are mentioned in Rev
Revelation 13:7
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and there was given to him authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
Revelation 14:12 (ASV) Here is the patience of the saints, they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Revelation 8:3-4
3 And another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should add it unto the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel's hand.
Saints is synonym of Church. See below Bible verse
1 Corinthians 1:2
unto the church of God which is at Corinth, [even] them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called [to be] saints, with all that call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, their [Lord] and ours:
Saints is synonym of Bride of Christ.See Bible verse
Revelation 19:7-8
7 Let us rejoice and be exceeding glad, and let us give the glory unto Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.
8 And it was given unto her that she should array herself in fine linen, bright [and] pure: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
Church/ Bride of Christ will go through Tribulation.
Meditate on these ' Tribulation' Bible verses.
1.Appointed to Tribulation
1 Thessalonians 3:3
that no man be moved by these tribulations; for yourselves know that hereunto we are appointed.
2 We will suffer Tribulation
1 Thessalonians 3:4
For verily, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we are to suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.
3 You will have Tribulation
John 16:33
These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
4.Through many Tribulations we must enter to the kingdom of God
Acts 14:22
confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God.
5. Deliver to Tribulation
Matthew 24:9
Then shall they deliver you up unto tribulation, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all the nations for My name's sake.
6. You will have Tribulation.
Revelation 2:10
Fear not the things which thou art about to suffer: behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.
But Pre- Tribulation Rapture says that you will not have to face Tribulation. You will raptured and enter into Kingdom of God bypassing Tribulation
This is enough to say that Pre Tribulation Rapture is unscriptural and demonic doctrine which has deceived millions of Christians. satan, father of lies is the originator of Pre Tribulation Rapture.
2.2 Thessalonians 2:7
For the mystery of lawlessness doth already work: only [there is] one that restraineth now, until he be taken out of the way.
According to Pre Tribulation Rapture believers, restrainer is Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit will be removed from Earth with Rapture of Church. This will allow antichrist to be revealed in the world.
If Holy Spirit is removed then how will Jews or unbelievers be evangelized?
Without Holy Spirit , no one can become saint ( but we see that saints are present in Tribulation)?
Holy Spirit scantifies and turn us into His image by His power.Without the presence of the Holy Spirit, none of these things would occur during the tribulation. But we know that people will be saved during that time. Thus, the Holy Spirit must be present during the tribulation.
Hand of God is Restrainer
Hand of God gives protection and restrains antichrist. See Bible verses below
Ezra 8:31
Then we departed from the river Ahava on the twelfth [day] of the first month, to go unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy and the lier-in-wait by the way.
Isaiah 49:2
and He hath made My mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand hath He hid Me: and He hath made Me a polished shaft; in His quiver hath He kept Me close:
When Hand of God is lifted up from Earth, then antichrist will come and cause mass destruction ( Isa 26:11)
Isaiah 26:11
Jehovah, Your hand is lifted up, yet they see not: but they shall see [Your] zeal for the people, and be put to shame; yea, fire shall devour Your adversaries.
3.1 Thessalonians 5:9
For God appointed us not into wrath, but unto the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
According to Pre Tribulation Rapture believers, we are not appointed to face wrath of God. Therefore, we will be raptured before wrath of God comes
But we forget that God has promised protection from His wrath during Tribulation on Earth in the following Bible verses.
Zephaniah 2:2-3
2 before the decree bring forth, [before] the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of Jehovah come upon you, before the day of Jehovah's anger come upon you.
3 Seek ye Jehovah, all ye meek of the earth, that have kept His ordinances; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye will be hid in the day of Jehovah's anger.
Revelation 12:6
And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that there they may nourish her a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Revelation 12:14
And there were given to the woman ( Church) the two wings of the great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness unto her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
Psalms 91:3-4
3 For he will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover thee with His pinions, And under His wings shalt thou take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler.
Psalms 91:7 (ASV) A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; [But] it shall not come nigh thee.
But we face wrath of satan.
Revelation 12:12-13
12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe for the earth and for the sea: because the devil is gone down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time.
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he persecuted the woman that brought forth the man [child].
We will face persecution, Tribulation and martydom. Apostle Paul too faced same things. See below.
2 Corinthians 11:24-27
24 Of the Jews five times received I forty [stripes] save one.
25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day have I been in the deep;
26 [in] journeyings often, [in] perils of rivers, [in] perils of robbers, [in] perils from [my] countrymen, [in] perils from the Gentiles, [in] perils in the city, [in] perils in the wilderness, [in] perils in the sea, [in] perils among false brethren;
27 [in] labor and travail, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
But majority of Christians don't want to face persecution, Tribulation and martydom . Therefore they want to believe Pre Tribulation Rapture which is pleasing to our flesh .
But most saddening thing is that when pre Tribulation Rapture believers will see that there is no Rapture before Tribulation, then they will not able to withstand antichrist because they weren't prepared. They will accept mark of beast and lose their salvation forever.That is most heartbreaking thing.
